Most of us only know Dr. Jose Rizal by his name and title (national hero of the Philippines). But behind being a national hero of our country what else do we know about him? Here are some of the responses of the people.

After reading the article, we noticed that the responses of the people are only based to what they know or what they heard about Dr. Jose Rizal. Most of their comments indicate that they obviously don’t know the whole story about him. Based on our experiences as a student, before we took up the subject “Life and Works of Jose Rizal”, like any other ordinary people we thought that our knowledge about him can define who he really was. But the truth is, all our knowledge are just common and even not half of the entire story about him. As we go along in our study, there are difficulties that we’ve encountered. For us student we find it hard to memorize all of the information that is written in the book because there are a lot of important places, names and events to be considered. Even though how many times we read the book and listen to our teacher still we cannot recall all the details. In some instances, we cannot avoid to lose our focus on our teacher and even get bored in listening. It also very tiring to read pages in the book over and over again just to fully understand what is the true meaning of the story. Thru the help of the proponents proposed game, learning will be more enjoyable not only for students but also to those people who are interested to know more about the life and works of our national hero.
